For the problem of material blockage, after studying the internal structure of the silo, it was found that it was caused by the material flowability and the unreasonable design of the existing discharge screw. Therefore, it was decided to dismantle the existing screw and install a diversion device inside the silo. This measure has improved material fluidity and effectively solved the problem of material blockage.

However, the impact of the silo issue is far from over. The leakage of material from the silo caused ground pollution. After washing with clean water, the concentration of cobalt solution decreased, affecting subsequent production and increasing disposal costs. In the face of difficulties, the workshop management once again demonstrated their responsibility and organized various forces to jointly discuss solutions. In response to the shortcomings of the original extensive flushing method, an innovative flushing and recycling system has been developed. By using idle tanks as flushing water storage tanks, the ground flushing water is recycled as feeding and pulping water, and a circulation pipeline is added to transport a small amount of cobalt material to the bottom of the silo as flushing and dredging fluid. These measures have successfully increased the cobalt concentration, ensured the product quality of the cobalt electric system, reduced the amount of clean water input, and achieved cost reduction in production.

After the completion of the transformation of the cobalt hydroxide feeding line, when faced with a series of complex and thorny problems, the workshop management personnel, technical department, equipment department machine maintenance, and job staff all thought and worked together, fully exerting their wisdom and strength, successfully solving a series of problems such as material leakage, blockage, and low cobalt concentration in the silo.
